Mental Health America of Southwest Ohio offers many services for educational purposes. Please click on one of the below areas of interest for more information:

Community Education...does your church or civic group need to know more about a mental health issue?  If so, we can help provide just what you need.  A variety of presentations are ready to help you fill this need. 
 

Law Enforcement...training opportunities are available to assist criminal justice professionals in learning how to work with individuals who have mental illness.  These trainings stress the positive relationship between systems and the best outcome for the individual being served.

Learn about how Cincinnati Police Officer receives CIT Officer of the Year Award on our law enforcement training page!  Congratulations Officer Lindsay Anderson and the Cincinnati Police Department.

Cross Training...sometimes the best way to improve your own skill set is to learn about the individuals that you come into contact with...perhaps attending a Citizen's Police Academy might help you best understand the role of the police officer, or attend a training to learn how psychiatric hospitalizations work. 

MHA Roundtable and Workshops...MHA has a history of offering workshops and monthly Roundtable sessions for continued learning about mental health and substance abuse.  And continuing education units are provided at a very fair value.
